1979 Libertarian Presidential Nominating Convention and Platform Topics

This document is the registration and information form for the 1979 Libertarian party convention where they are to nominate their presidential candidate. The event was advertised as the “greatest libertarian event of the decade.”

In the agenda, the party advertises many events spanning several days with speakers and panels with topics such as: “the balanced budget amendment” and “private education.”

This particular nominating convention is significant because it is here where David Koch was nominated to be the Vice-Presidential candidate on the Libertarian ticket for the 1980 election.
