This undated document is likely from 1979 and is a brochure titled, “What Should Be our National Energy Policy?” published by the Libertarian Party’s New Hampshire Publicity Committee sometime after the year 1978 (see bottom of PDF).
In the brochure, the Libertarian Party takes positions consistent with party funder Charles Koch in arguing against any government regulation of the energy industry including the monitoring of energy price, production, or conservation. It specifically opposes the “Windfall Profits Tax” stating: “Does Congress really think that our anger at the oil companies is a good reason to impose a new tax on them? Or is Congress proposing this because it thinks it can get away with it? Don’t they realize that the oil companies will just pass the cost along to us?”
